Your day on your phone
Today's run, directions, customer details, notes and one-tap job finishing. Kept simple for work on the van.
Jobs and diary01 Your own trade app
Jobs, quotes, invoices, certificates and the accounts side, all in one place. It has your name on it, fits the way you work and grows when you need it to.
02 The problem
Most job apps only handle the obvious bit. You still open something else for the accounts, another tool for certificates and your inbox to work out supplier prices.
Then come the missed reminders, cold quotes and evenings spent copying numbers between places.
The Job Manager replaces that juggle with one tidy trail through the whole business.
03 What it does
Today's run, directions, customer details, notes and one-tap job finishing. Kept simple for work on the van.
Jobs and diaryProfessional customer options, online acceptance and supplier prices read from emails and marked up automatically.
Quotes and AI pricingInvoice straight from the job, take bank payments and let the system record them and chase overdue work.
1% capped at £4 with bank payComplete certificates on site, save safely as you type and send the finished PDF to the customer or landlord.
Built around your tradeSee real job profit, match supplier costs, reconcile the bank and give your accountant a clean year-end pack.
Less separate bookkeepingService reminders become one-tap booking leads, while review requests help finished jobs build your reputation.
Reminders and reviews04 Runs on its own
A sent quote is followed up by email and text on a set ladder until the customer answers. When they accept online, the job moves straight into the booking queue.
Automatic quote chasingOverdue invoices get a polite chase without you writing it, and the pay now link keeps the answer one tap away.
Automatic invoice chasingFinishing a service sets next year's reminder. It goes out before the anniversary with a one-tap book me in link, and the office sees who's due.
Service and safety remindersMerchant quotations are read from your email, matched to the customer and priced into the quote with your markup. The customer sees plain groups, not a parts list to price up online.
Quote-building AIA 6am email with the day's visits, addresses and notes. Customers get a booking confirmation, and every text uses a short link so it stays a single message.
Day-ahead email and textsBank payments with the invoice number as the reference mark themselves paid. Supplier costs sit against the job so you see real profit, and your accountant gets a clean pack.
Accounts without the spreadsheet05 Getting paid
Every invoice carries a GoCardless pay now button. The customer pays straight from their bank, it costs you 1% capped at £4, and the invoice marks itself paid when the money lands. Cards are there as a backup. The money goes to your own account, never through mine.
Service plans run on Direct Debit through the same account. Customers sign up from your website, pick a tier and the plan collects each month on its own. The invoice is raised when the payment clears, the welcome email goes out with the terms attached, and next year's service reminder is set the moment they join.
See it on a real invoice06 Built around you
Off-the-shelf software decides how your business should work. This starts with how it already works, then tidies the journey and removes the repeated admin.
Need a report, a form or a different way for jobs to flow? The system can grow with the business instead of forcing you to start again.
Talk through your setup07 What it replaces
The first live version replaced Tradify, QuickBooks and a separate gas-certificate tool, then added useful things those tools did not cover.
08 Already working
The first Job Manager is live with J Hacking Heating & Plumbing. It replaced Tradify, joined the accounts and certificate work into the same system and keeps developing around the business.
